2. Payment Terms & Default

Full payment for tickets and sponsorship packages must be received prior to The Event. The Organiser reserves the right to deny entry or cancel sponsorship benefits if payment is not received in full by the specified due date.

3. Ticket Cancellations & Refund Policy

  • Cancellations received more than 21 days prior to the event are eligible for a 50% refund.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 21 days of the event date.
  • Cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to the event, or failure to attend ("no-shows"), will be charged at full price. Any outstanding invoices for such bookings remain fully payable.
  • All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the event organisers.
  • Tickets are transferable, meaning if you are unable to attend, you may nominate someone to attend in your place by notifying the organisers in advance.

4. Event Schedule & Speaker Changes

The event schedule, topics, speakers, and panellists are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances or speaker availability. Such changes do not qualify attendees for a refund or compensation.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither Madison Publications Ltd nor Checkout Ireland Ltd, including their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, or contractors, accept liability for any personal injury, accidents, or loss or damage to personal property while attending The Event. Attendees and sponsors are fully responsible for their own safety and belongings.

6. Indemnification

Attendees and sponsors agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless both Madison Publications Ltd and Checkout Ireland Ltd from and against any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or expenses arising from their own negligence, misconduct, or breach of these Terms & Conditions.

7. Sponsor Insurance Requirements

All sponsors and exhibitors must hold their own adequate Public Liability Insurance for the duration of The Event, including setup and breakdown times. The Organiser reserves the right to request proof of insurance prior to granting access to the venue.

8. Venue Rules & Damage

Attendees and sponsors must comply with all health, safety, and operational rules of the venue. Any damage caused to the venue, its fixtures, or fittings by a sponsor, attendee, or their contractors will be the sole financial responsibility of that individual or sponsoring company.

9. Photography, Filming & Media Usage

By attending the Checkout Conference 2026, you acknowledge and consent to being photographed, filmed, and/or recorded by the Organiser or its designated representatives. These materials will be used extensively by Madison Publications Ltd (and Checkout Ireland Ltd acting on its behalf) for the official show report, promotional materials, social media, press releases, and future marketing campaigns. By entering the event premises, you waive any right to inspect or approve the finished photographs or video recordings and waive any claims for royalties or compensation associated with their use.

10. Age Restriction

The Checkout Conference is a strictly B2B event tailored for the grocery retail and FMCG industry. All attendees must be 18 years of age or older. The Organiser reserves the right to request valid identification upon entry.

11. Right to Refuse Entry

Madison Publications Ltd reserves the right of admission. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse entry or to remove any individual from The Event premises without a refund. This applies to anyone who displays disruptive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour, poses a health or security risk, violates these Terms & Conditions, or fails to comply with the instructions of event staff and venue security.

12. Data Protection

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with GDPR and other applicable data protection laws. By registering for the event, you consent to receive communications relating to the conference and future events hosted by Madison Publications Ltd. You can opt out at any time.

13. Accessibility

If you have any accessibility requirements, please inform the organisers ahead of the event so appropriate arrangements can be made to support your attendance.

14. Force Majeure & Event Cancellation

Neither Madison Publications Ltd nor Checkout Ireland Ltd shall be held responsible or liable for any delay, postponement, or cancellation of The Event due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, Acts of God, extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, strikes, civil unrest, venue unavailability, or public health emergencies (including a COVID-19 type outbreak, epidemic, or pandemic). In the event of cancellation or postponement due to any of these Force Majeure factors, no refunds will be issued to attendees or sponsors.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is deemed invalid or unenforceable, that will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions, which will continue in full force and effect.
