Malachy O'Connor is the founder and lead consultant at Food First Consulting, a partner at IPLC (International Private Label Consult) and a director at Uspire Ltd. Malachy has over 25 years’ retail and grocery industry experience – from 2006 as Buying & Marketing Director at Aldi Ireland and from 2014 as Fresh Foods Commercial Category Director at Tesco Ireland. Malachy set up Food First Consulting in 2017 where he helps suppliers and buyers do better business through insights, negotiation skills, and strategy development. He joined IPLC, a consulting firm specialising in private label strategy, in March 2018, and joined Uspire in 2020, where he helps deliver training on sales and negotiation skills.
